About Napps
In the fall of 1987, Napps Heating & Air Conditioning Company, a family owned commercial HVAC company since 1957, began designing and manufacturing HVAC equipment for the commercial aviation ground support market. See NAPPS History.
The first aviation ground support order was from Teledyne INET for the design and manufacture of two package chillers to be used to cool Delta Air Line’s fleet of commercial aircraft while parked at the Orlando International Airport in Orlando Florida. The job was successful and Teledyne immediately began positioning NAPPS to furnish all systems internationally. The volume and type of work this opportunity presented would inevitably interrupt and compromise the core business of NAPPS Heating and Air Conditioning. As a result NAPPS Technology Corporation was incorporated in 1989 to develop and manufacture aviation ground support equipment.
Over the next ten years NAPPS Technology Corporation grew very rapidly and developed and manufactured hundreds of machines deployed nationally and abroad. Through the years NAPPS has enjoyed a very close relationship with The Trane Company. Since the early 1990s NAPPS has designed and manufactured conventional commercial air conditioning equipment and marketed these products exclusively through the Trane Sales Offices. In the early 1990s these products used the Trane reciprocating compressor and by the mid 1990s, the products began bearing the Trane Scroll compressor.
Today NAPPS Technology Corporation has been reorganized to offer a full line of highly efficient commercial products exclusively through the Trane Sales Offices throughout the Americas. These products range in capacity from 10 to 60 tons and include Trane Scroll Compressor Units, Water Cooled Condensing Units, Compressor Chillers and Water Cooled Liquid Chillers.
With a world of experience and more that 50 years in the in the industry, NAPPS is committed to the continuing process of product development, introducing new innovative designs while meeting or exceeding complex efficiency and environmental standards.
